Angela, oh Angela, how I love your designs.
Designed by Eero Aarnio in 1967 the Ball Chair was really his fulfillment of his own need for a big chair in his new apartment with one self-made stipulation, the design had to be a “really new one”.
A must mention this evening - the Mies Day Bed and other Classics are curently on sale at DWR.
It’s been called the world’s most famous paper cup and now it’s available in ceramic.
If you’re drawn to this piece for it’s elegant form, intricate wood grain, tantalizing texture, rich tonal variety and ever so slightly rounded right angles, then you’re probably considering where you would put it and how soon can you get it. But wait my fellow design admiring, adventure shopping, Earth loving friend - it gets even better!
Hey - glad you found LoftLust. Thought it was time to offer up a little more about myself and this blog.
What’s more fun than a loft party? Swanky modern pad, downtown views and city lights - it’s the place to be on Saturday night. Plan your next party with these two creations in mind and you’re sure to be the host(ess) with the most(est).
This Wednesday Design Within Reach and Knoll Inc. announced a new partnership. DWR will sell Knoll products beginning early this summer. They’ll be expanding their catalog to include new Knoll products as well as Knoll classics designed by Eero Saarinen, Marcel Breuer, Harry Bertoia, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and Jens Risom.
They’re great looking! A unique flatware series with tapered handles, very smooth lines, an unusual pressed flat design, chiseled edges and asymmetrical notches, this set has a very contemporary aesthetic.
