Designed by Eero Aarnio in 1967 the Ball Chair was really his fulfillment of his own need for a big chair in his new apartment with one self-made stipulation, the design had to be a “really new one”.

This Wednesday Design Within Reach and Knoll Inc. announced a new partnership. DWR will sell Knoll products beginning early this summer. They’ll be expanding their catalog to include new Knoll products as well as Knoll classics designed by Eero Saarinen, Marcel Breuer, Harry Bertoia, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and Jens Risom.
