Here’s to waking up on the right side of the bed
Ever have one of those days when you’re blah for no good reason? That was me today. An ordinary day with ordinary annoyances, like the 45 minutes I spent at the post office on my lunch break - that sucks, but it’s not worthy of the Miss Grumpy Pants grumble I’ve been listening to all day.
I think other people’s negativity just rubbed me the wrong way, and I ended up pissy by default. I go to the grocery store and I’m in the checkout line behind a woman who’s helping the cashier load up her bags and the guy behind me, after being there for maybe 3 minutes, goes, “And they call this the express lane. I swear it never fails, this grocery store always has the slowest lines”. And I’m thinking, does anyone have any patience? Does anyone know how to be nice to on another. See… now I’m ranting and all grumbly again. It’s just been one of those days.
As the saying goes, “I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.”
So, I’ve spent the latter part of this evening looking at sheets, duvets, pillows and bedspreads searching for something revitalizing, different, comfortable and right-side-of-the-bed inspiring.
