Entertaining with wine, a la fantastic design
What’s more fun than a loft party? Swanky modern pad, downtown views and city lights - it’s the place to be on Saturday night. Plan your next party with these two creations in mind and you’re sure to be the host(ess) with the most(est).
Okay, I won’t be modest, I’ve hosted some killer parties and every time I’ve had such a fun time doing it. Though, don’t get me wrong, it took some E for effort and a good amount of attentiveness, but what’s always made my parties great were the details.
First are these stainless steel Stemware Plate Clips from The Container Store. These clips attach to the side of your plate and hold a wine glass so you can mingle, shake hands, high-five, give a thumbs-up or a pat on the back without having to set down your drink. Truly clever. I know I’ve been at events where I’ve had a plate of hors d’oeuvres in one hand and a wine glass in the other, and then I needed something out of my purse, or I was trying to get to my business card but my hands were full and there wasn’t a table nearby. It’s just a frustrating position to be in. As the host of a party you can really enhance your guests’ experience with these Stemware Plate Clips.
They’re made of rustproof stainless steel and have a rubber lining on the inside of the clip to prevent scratching the plate - they thought of everything!
Also very cool is this posh Wine Serving Tray (object UU22) from MuNiMulA. MuNiMulA is a design/manufacturing company in Michigan that emphasizes a distinct collaboration of form, function and material to come up with some really fantastic designs. They work primarily with aluminum (like this piece here) and resin to come up with a collection of furniture and objects that are a unique blend of funky and elegant.
The Wine Serving Tray can hold a bottle of wine and 1-4 stemmed glasses. It’s made with a satin anodized aluminum finish available in clear, green or orange. The crisp modernist design makes for an unmatched serving experience.
